In September 2024 I completed a submission to the Royal commission into domestic, family and sexual violence. This submission outlined the horrific domestic violence, coercive control and financial abuse I experienced at the hands of my abuser, much of which was observed by my child leading to trauma for both of us.
I now dedicate my life to raising awareness of the plight of women and children imprisoned in domestic violence situations but everybody can have a say at this Royal commission. If you are a victim still in a DV situation or if you are a survivor, if you're a mother of a victim or survivor if you're a dad, if you're a sister or brother and auntie and uncle a child or parent, you can have your say too.
Use the 'Share With Us' tool. The online tool invites responses to questions about the domestic, family and sexual violence systems in South Australia and also invites users to provide any other information they want to share with the Commissioner by leaving an audio or written message. It is open until 10 December, 2024.
Anyone anywhere can share information relevant to domestic violence.
